The IIBC delegation, led by Mr. Salar Omer Salih, met with Mr. Fabrizio Lobasso, Deputy Director General for the Promotion of Italy and Economic Internationalization at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in Rome. The meeting reaffirmed the strong and growing partnership between Iraq and Italy, with discussions centered on expanding bilateral collaboration in industrial and economic fields, promoting capacity-building and knowledge transfer programs, and supporting mutual investment opportunities and sustainable projects.

Mr. Lobasso commended IIBC’s initiatives in fostering dialogue and virtual networking between Iraqi and Italian businesses. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual understanding of Iraq’s commercial environment, including its business regulations, taxation frameworks, and security landscape, as essential steps toward strengthening institutional cooperation and deepening economic ties between the two nations.
