By leveraging Italy’s renowned expertise in healthcare and medical innovation, IIBC works to support the modernization of Iraq’s health systems, enhance medical knowledge, and promote high-quality standards in the sector.

Our initiatives include:

• Training & Capacity Building:
  IIBC organizes specialized training programs for doctors, nurses, and medical technicians in partnership with leading Italian hospitals, universities, and health institutions. These programs are designed to transfer knowledge, introduce modern medical practices, and develop the skills of healthcare professionals in Iraq.

• Workforce Development in Hospitals & Health Centers:
  The Council supports initiatives to strengthen the capacities of staff in hospitals and clinics, focusing on patient care, emergency response, advanced treatment techniques, and hospital management. This ensures that medical personnel are better equipped to meet international standards.

• Medical Equipment & Technical Training:
  To improve healthcare infrastructure, IIBC facilitates the trade and supply of certified Italian medical equipment. Alongside this, it coordinates training sessions for Iraqi technicians to ensure the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of advanced medical devices.

• Institutional Partnerships:
  The Council works on fostering collaboration between hospitals, universities, and ministries of health in both Iraq and Italy. These partnerships aim to enable joint research, knowledge-sharing, staff exchanges, and cooperative projects in the healthcare field.

• Pharmaceutical Sector Development:
  IIBC promotes initiatives to enhance the quality of Iraqi pharmaceutical production by connecting local producers with Italian companies. This includes introducing advanced production standards, fostering technology transfer, and building long-term partnerships to ensure safe and effective medicines are available in the Iraqi market.
