The Iraq–Italy Business Council (IIBC) officially inaugurated its activities in Iraq, marking a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties. The ceremony, held at Babylon Rotana, brought together senior officials, business leaders, and diplomatic representatives from both countries.
Distinguished guests included Mr. Sattar Al Jabiri, Deputy Minister of Trade; Mr. Fabrizio Lobasso, Deputy Director General for the Promotion of Italy and Economic Internationalization; Mr. Majid Muzan, representative of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Basra Chamber of Commerce, and H.E. Niccolò Fontana, the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq. The event featured national anthems, keynote remarks, and an introduction video highlighting Iraq–Italy collaboration — setting the stage for a future of partnership, innovation, and shared prosperity.
